Open Gardens: 10 a.m.- noon on Oct. 15th and Nov 12th, 2016 Plant and Book Sale at Monica Brandies’ Garden. Autographed books, plants, especially blue ginger, pinecone and butterfly ginger bulbs, white cat whiskers, perennial edibles and more for sale. Wander through the garden. You can email me at email@example.com before for the list of some 40 different herbal, edible, and landscaping plants that you can see growing and blooming in the garden, and can have your plants saved and ready if you email an order ahead of time. As much as I can with people coming and going, I will answer questions. Free admission. 1508 Burning Tree Lane, Brandon (813)654-1969. There will be some free cuttings and plants.
While in Brandon, also stop by Neem Tree Farms from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on both dates at 602 Ronele Dr, a left turn off of Kings Ave just before Bloomingdale. Tour the garden and the greenhouses where they grow the herb neem that an agency of the U.S. government has called “a tree for solving global problems.” They’ll also have free samples. On Nov. 12th, you can also visit Willow LaMonte's organic herb and edible plant nursery from 10 a.m.until
4 p.m. Go east of Brandon on SR60 to Miller road and turn right. Go to the second right turn past Lumsden
and go the the end of Ray Road. You can call her for more information but not on the day because she will

Monica Brandies has written eleven books, eight completely and three with three different co-authors. She has been gardening all her life, publishing since 1961.
Her articles appear weekly in the Brandon News (Florida) and are often seen in magazines such as Florida Gardening.
Monica Brandies has been gardening since she was a child. In college she studied horticulture and landscape design since she figured she wouldn't always have a farm. She went to the Pennsylvania School of Horticulture for Women, which became part of Temple University from which came her degree.
Monica has spoken to church groups, plant societies, garden clubs, and other groups in five states with talks that combine inspiration, entertainment, and information. She sells and signs books at speaking engagements.
